Looking to uncover treasures of the past ?

At South Devon Metal Detecting Club, we are passionate about history and we are always looking for Landowners in Devon, Cornwall, Somerset and Dorset !

With metal detectors and drones in hand, we’re eager to explore historical sites and unearth artefacts.

If you’re a local Landowner intrigued by the idea, we’d love to chat. We start with a simple Field Walk to spot any surface finds, then dive deep into research using aerial photos, old maps, and more. And don’t worry, we follow strict guidelines and have all the necessary permits.

If you grant us permission to search your land, we can organise a Group Day-Dig or Weekend Event with camping etc, complete with expert marshall’s and regulations. Plus, we will share all our finds with you, from treasures to mere trinkets. And if we uncover anything valuable, we will split the proceeds with you and the finder 50/50.

So, if you’ve got land with a hint of history, please contact us ! We’re a friendly bunch, eager to delve into our local past together. And you will receive £10 for everyone searching on the day – it’s a win/win situation.
